Hours of Operation

Open Daily (April-October, 9:30am-4:30pm; November-March, 10am-3pm)

Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Trains operate every Saturday and Sunday from April-October, hourly from 11-3 p.m.

Special holiday trains run in November and December.

Support Railtown 1897 State Historic Park

Thanks to the many Railtown fans who have supported this unique, "one-of-a-kind" State Historic Park through your membership, donations, volunteer hours, and making your voice heard. Your support has been vital and will be even more so in the future as we work together to keep Railtown open and the trains running.

You can get involved today by sending your donation to the CSRM Foundation to help support Railtown. All donations will be designated for Railtown.

Individuals and corporations can contribute to Railtown in a variety of ways from becoming a member or giving the gift of membership, to riding the train or renting the facilities for a special event. The California State Railroad Museum Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which has been a cooperating association of California State Parks since 1987. The CSRMF Foundation raises and manages funds to support the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, and the long-envisioned Railroad Technology Museum in the downtown Sacramento Railyards.
