Support Railtown 1897 State Historic Park
Thanks to the many Railtown fans who have supported this unique, "one-of-a-kind" State Historic Park through your membership, donations, volunteer hours, and making your voice heard. Your support has been vital and will be even more so in the future as we work together to keep Railtown open and the trains running.
As a result of state budget cuts, Railtown is one of the state parks on the closure list for July 2012. For the last six months, State Parks has been working with local community leaders in Tuolumne County to develop an action plan to keep Railtown open. The effort includes the California State Railroad Museum Foundation and several community groups. It will take many individuals and organizations working together to save Railtown, but we can do it.
You can get involved today by sending your donation to the CSRM Foundation to help support Railtown. All donations will be designated for Railtown.
The California State Railroad Museum Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which has been a cooperating association of California State Parks since 1987. The CSRMF Foundation raises and manages funds to support the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, and the long-envisioned Railroad Technology Museum in the downtown Sacramento Railyards.
